Set up SAML SSO with JumpCloud

JumpCloud's SAML setup is close to Okta's, field for field, just under JumpCloud's own labels. This assumes SSO is already on, from SAML setup.

Where to find it
Organization → Integrations → SSO
Who can use it

Time needed
10 minutes
You will need
Admin access to your JumpCloud console

Add the custom SAML application

  1. Start the app

In the JumpCloud console, go to SSO Applications (under Access), add an application, and choose Custom SAML App. Give it a Display Label of DMARCS.

Point it at DMARCS

Values JumpCloud needs
SP Entity ID (also called the Audience URI)
https://your-domain.com/api/saml/metadata
ACS URL
https://your-domain.com/api/api.php?action=saml_acs

Map the email attribute

Set SAMLSubject NameID to email from the dropdown. Leave the IdP Entity ID field on its default (JumpCloud's own console URL).

Give DMARCS JumpCloud's details, then test

  1. Get the metadata into DMARCS

Save the application, open it again, and download or copy its metadata. Upload it on DMARCS's SSO page with Upload Metadata, or enter the SSO IdP URL and certificate by hand.

  2. Assign access

Under User Groups, assign the groups who should get SSO.

  3. Enable and test

Switch on Enable SSO on DMARCS's SSO page and save, then sign in from a private browser window.
