DNS History: see what your records looked like before
When authentication suddenly starts failing, the first question is "what changed?". DNS History answers it: every version of your DMARC and SPF records DMARCS has observed, in order, with the full text of each.
- Where to find it
- Inspect → DNS History
How to use it
- Select one domain in the header
This page works on a single domain, not "All Domains".
- Read the timeline
Each entry shows the record type (DMARC or SPF), when it was seen, and the raw value at that time. Compare two entries to see exactly what was added or removed.
- Scan Now
Click it to force a fresh check on top of the history, for example straight after you've made a change.
Want to know about a change the moment it happens rather than after the fact? Set up a DNS Record Change alert under Alerting.
