Monitoring & Risk

SMTP Security: do your mail servers support encryption?

Before you tell the world to only deliver to you over TLS (that's what MTA-STS does), you should confirm your own servers can actually do it. SMTP Security checks each one.

Where to find it
Monitoring & Risk → SMTP Security

What you'll see

  • How many of your mail servers have STARTTLS confirmed active, with an Active or Not Supported badge per server and the TLS version it negotiated.
  • A server DMARCS hasn't been able to check yet (no MX found, check pending, or check failed) is shown as not checked, not as a failure, so a domain mid-scan never looks worse than it is.
  • Expand a row to see the individual MX records behind it, each with its location and provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and so on).
